I have been learning the value of cousins lately. Bash and Ellie are ready to start socializing with other kids. They both started school this week, which is a great start for that. There’s just a different experience when they are visiting with cousins. They have some cousins that are a year or two older than they are, and they are willing to be patient and try to coax our kids into doing something fun. When socializing with kids of their own age, there can be a lot of parallel play if two kids want to do different activities.
Jessica and I love being on the water, but our kids are still a little unsure of actually going into the lake. It helps to have a few cousins around to show them how much fun it is!
