Ep 062 – Getting Coaching Clients Comes Down To This…

If you want to get coaching clients, you have to develop trust with your audience.

And the way to do that is by showing up regularly—through content, masterclasses, or calls. People need to hear from you, see you, and get a sense of what it’s like to work with you before they’ll ever consider signing up for coaching.

A lot of coaches hold back on this step because it feels overwhelming.

Maybe you’ve been putting off launching a podcast or YouTube channel because it seems too big or too complicated. If that’s you, start small. Write a blog post. Send an email to your list. The most important thing isn’t how you show up—it’s that you show up. Regularly.

Where Should You Be Creating Content?

You get to decide. Podcast, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, blog posts, emails—there are so many ways to put yourself out there. But the best platform is the one you’ll actually stick with.

There are two things to consider:

Where is your audience hanging out? If your content is highly visual, Instagram or TikTok might be best. If you’re targeting professionals, LinkedIn is a strong option. And if you’re not sure, Facebook and Instagram are always solid choices.

What’s easiest for you? If video feels intimidating, start with a blog post or an email. If you like talking more than writing, record a podcast. If writing long-form content sounds exhausting, try short-form content like social media posts or stories.

The best content is the content you’ll actually create.

Building Momentum

The hardest part is getting started. But once you start showing up regularly, you’ll build momentum. Your content will get better. Your message will get clearer. And that’s when your audience really starts paying attention.

This isn’t about churning out more content—it’s about getting better at communicating with your ideal clients.

You don’t need to create something every day to be effective. Once a week is great.

Make It Easier on Yourself

There are tools that can make this easier. If you’re writing a blog post, take that content and turn it into a video script. Use AI to help you outline your ideas. If video makes you nervous, use Descript to fix your eye contact so it looks like you’re speaking directly to your audience.

At the end of the day, the more your audience can see your face and hear your voice, the faster you’ll build trust.

People connect with people.

And in the coaching industry, trust is everything.

How Long Do You Have to Do This?

As long as you want to keep attracting clients. This isn’t just for when you’re getting started—it’s part of running a business.

Eventually, you can automate pieces of it. But in the beginning, the key is to build a habit of showing up, sharing value, and letting your audience get to know you.
