We visited San Pedro for the third time in July 2017. We’ve taken a handful of kiting vacations, and the three excursions we took with PassionKite were the best kiting experiences we’ve ever had. The sandbar where they take you out is a quick boat ride away. It is ~1.5 miles long of gorgeous blue, waist deep water and every time we were there we had it all to ourselves! It is by-far the best location we’ve seen thus far! I was really excited to put this video together of us kiteboarding!

Between the two of us, we’ve had about 10 instructors and have kited in:
– Roatan, Honduras – side-on shore winds in deep water
– Aruba 2x – beautiful location but very gusty and offshore winds
– Los Barriles, Mexico – side-on shore, deep water and quite choppy
– San Pedro/Caye Caulker – 4 sessions previously.
There was another kiteboarding company on the island that is no longer in business. We had great difficulty getting them to take us out kiting in the past. There were probably 5 days where they said they would call us to confirm but didn’t. We would stop by because they stopped picking up the phone or they would be waiting to hear back from someone else. It was difficult to schedule to say the least.
PassionKite is really a breath of fresh air! MJ was always in the agreed upon spot (right outside our hotel) at the right time. We went out kiting with Mitch and Louis who were both extremely professional, helpful, and fun. The gear was always on the boat ready to go. When we got to the sandbar, Mitch and Louis would do all the work and have me up and riding within 10 minutes at the most and Jessica up and riding within 15. They really maximized our time out on the water!
After one session, I left my sandals on their boat. MJ emailed me about it within a couple hours and ended up dropping them off at the front desk of our hotel. Talk about service!
MJ was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with via email. The whole experience was really just amazing! When we come back we will definitely (and only) go out with PassionKite!
