Ep 045 – 7 Ways To Repurpose Your Content

Creating content is a time-consuming process, and maximizing its reach and impact is crucial for any coach. Repurposing content allows you to extend the life of your work by adapting it for different platforms and formats. Here are seven effective ways to repurpose your content to reach more clients and increase your influence.

Why Repurpose Content?

Repurposing your content helps you reach a broader audience and maintains consistent engagement. Each person spends different amounts of time on various platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or email. By repurposing your content, you ensure your message reaches more people.

1. Record Your Podcast as a Video

If you’re already creating podcasts, the simplest way to repurpose them is to turn on your video recorder. This way, you can use both the audio for your podcast and the video for platforms like YouTube. This method maximizes impact with minimal extra effort.

2. Transform Long-Form Content into Blogs

Your long-form content, such as podcasts or videos, can be converted into blog posts. Tools like Descript can transcribe your audio or video and help generate blog content quickly. Remember, always edit the introduction and conclusion to make them compelling and include a strong call to action.

3. Create Email Newsletters

Similar to blog posts, long-form content can be repurposed into email newsletters. Transcribe your content and use AI tools to craft your email. This method keeps your audience informed through a more direct and personal medium.

4. Produce Audiograms

Turn highlights from your podcasts into audiograms. These short, engaging audio clips overlaid with visual elements can be shared on social media. Use tools like Canva or Descript to create these visually appealing snippets.

5. Make Social Media Reels

Splice your long-form videos into short, engaging reels for platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Descript can help you find highlights and add necessary effects to make your content more appealing.

6. Draft Social Media Posts

Summary and quotes from your long-form content can be turned into social media posts. Use AI tools to generate attention-grabbing quotes and smaller pieces from your longer content.

7. Compile Content into Larger Works

Combine smaller pieces of content to create something substantial, like an ebook or a course. This method allows you to break down large projects into manageable weekly tasks, making the overall process less overwhelming.

I recommend an AI-powered audio and video editor called Descript. I use it to…

  • Write the transcription of any audio or video.
  • Correct eye contact. I can read from a script, but my eyes are looking right at the camera in the final video.
  • Screen record. My list of requirements for this are long.
  • Write a blog post draft from any audio or video.

As I mentioned in the podcast episode, here is my referral link.

I do not commonly use referral links. In fact, this is my only referral link I have ever used. The tool is that good, and I use it that often.

Repurposing content is about efficiency and broader reach. Choose strategies that utilize the content you’re already creating, and start with the easiest method, like recording your podcast as a video. Over time, these practices will become second nature, increasing your content’s impact without overextending your efforts.
